What is the event exactly?
Carnaval ME is a winter festival that takes place in Portland, Maine. There will be LIVE music, ice sculptures, bonfires, warm food and drink, and more! Stay tuned for exciting things coming in 2024.
Do I need a ticket?
Yes, you need a ticket to attend the event; Kids 10 & under are free. Please visit our ticketing page to view the different ticket options!
Can I leave the event and return or come either day?
General Admission tickets are valid for their specific day, but you can leave and re-enter the event as often as you'd like during that session.
Bites & Brews tickets are only valid for the time/date you chose at checkout, but you may also re-enter the Bites & Brews igloo as often as you'd like during that time/date.
The Fire & Ice Gala tickets are also valid for the duration of the event, and you can re-enter the event as often as you'd like.
What does a General Admission Pass include?
A General Admission ticket is good for one day of Carnaval ME and gets you access to all aspects of the event with the exception of the Bites & Brews igloo. There is a full schedule on the home page.
What does the Bites & Brews Pass include?
Purchasing a Bites & Brews ticket grants you access to our Bites & Brews igloo during the specified time/date chosen at the time of purchase. The igloo features pairings from Maine craft brewers and food from local award-winning chefs. There will also be music, frozen bars, ice drink luges, and more! There is a full schedule on the home page.
How do I get into the Bites & Brews igloo?
You must purchase a Bites & Brews ticket for a specific time and date. These tickets grant access in the igloo, and you cannot use a Bites & Brews ticket at a time other than the one listed on the ticket.
Will there be options for Gluten-Free, Vegetarian, etc?
We will have a large selection of food trucks each day of the event! In addition, our Bites & Brews sessions will have some options available for gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan.
What does the Fire & Ice Gala ticket include?
The Fire & Ice Gala ticket gives you access to only this special event. The Gala will take place inside the Bites & Brews igloo and will have LIVE music, craft beers, local food, and more!
Do I need my ticket on the day of the event?
Yes, please present your digital ticket at the entrance to be scanned for admission.
Where should I stay?
Our HQ hotel is Canopy!
Our preferred hotels are Portland Harbor Hotel and Cambria!
The best part? They're all within walking distance to the Carnaval ME festival!
Are there Restricted Items?
Alcohol, weapons, fireworks, and smoking are not allowed at Carnaval Maine.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed in the event area. Service animals are allowed.
Is this a kid-friendly event?
Yes, the general admission ticket access is perfect for kids and families, and kids 10 years old and under get in for free! However, the Fire & Ice Gala and the Bites & Brews igloo are for 21+ only.
Is the event accessible?
Yes, the event is wheelchair accessible. Please contact us (207.613.8307 or carnaval@shamrockse.com) if you have specific needs or questions.
Will the event be postponed if there is bad weather?
The event will take place no matter the weather conditions! If it is cold or snowing, please dress accordingly.
What happens if I have questions on the day of the event?
Please see a Carnaval ME representative at the main entrance.

REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY
Once paid, registration fees for Carnaval ME are non-refundable. If you cannot make the event, you may give your ticket to someone else without having to transfer the registrant’s name.
